As we consider the 4th of July and what it means for the United States it’s also a good time to consider the true meaning of freedom experienced through Christ. We'll draw parallels in this sermon between the Declaration of Independence and our spiritual liberation…focusing on the quest for freedom from sin, the price Jesus paid for our freedom, and our responsibility to live righteously. The truth being this: Christ's sacrifice grants us ultimate freedom and empowers us to live in God's purpose. As we consider the freedoms we have it’s important that we also recognize the greatest freedom we’ve ever been offered.
